Miss Maine USA has always been a dream of mine. In my life I have long decided that I can live with failure but I can not with regret, and if I didn't compete I would have regretted it! My other reason for entering the pageant was an even more personal one. I wanted to get in the best physical shape of my life and knowing that I was walking down a runway was just the motivation I needed to get me there!
Competing for the title of Miss USA means the world to me. Having this opportunity is truly a blessing! Representing Maine at the national level is truly an honor. Maine has given me so many amazing opportunities while growing up, attending college here, and now owning my own business. Maine is everything I love; the outdoor activities, the beauty of the state and the people. Being in the Miss USA pageant means I once again get to represent the state that I live for. Miss USA is an amazing opportunity to build new relationships and friendships as well as work with such renowned and educated individuals that will prepare me for competition. During this phenomenal journey I will do everything I can to be the best I can be, to really represent Maine and give it my all!
I am most excited and looking forward to Photos with Fadil, meeting Sheri Hill and training with Rocco!!!!! Also I am looking forward to representing Maine at events for Special Olympics, Maine Handicapped Skiing and other charities. As well as working towards my goal of opening a center for helping to fight childhood obesity. Lastly…. J I can not wait to see more changes to my physical appearance as we get ready to compete! It is going to be a lot of fun!!!
Before entering the pageant, really spend time on yourself and finding out whom you are. Make sure that you are confident with who you are and what you stand for. Stay true to yourself and look at this opportunity as a way to grow as an individual. If you believe in yourself and are optimistic you will have so much fun and take away a lot from the experience, win or lose.
Spare time?!!?! What is that?! Ha. When I get a moment of spare time you can be sure to find me in the outdoors with friends. Loving Maine for all it offers I can be seen cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling or ice skating. In the warmer months hiking, four wheeling and boating. Then of course there are those days when you just need some downtime that’s when I absolutely love curling up on the couch with a blanket and reading a great book or watching a movie!
I am extremely passionate about changing the lives of others. I run my own business called Believe in Fitness. I do personal training, group exercise and nutritional counseling working with young, old, physically disabled and sports specific individuals. A HUGE passion of mine is seeing people achieve their goals, reaching far beyond what they ever dreamed they could do, and improving the quality of their life. This is amazingly rewarding to me! I also am passionate about enjoying life’s journey and realizing that today is a gift that’s why they call it the present!!
